Happy Retirement Dad!

After 36 years at DUPONT, my dad finally retired on Tuesday, January 27th! In all of his 36 years, he never had a single absence--he had the longest running record at DUPONT!!! He’s been given the “clean living” award, which, for those of you who know him, is quite hilarious! His ‘clean living’ is attributed to Lone Star, peanut butter, cold wolf-brand chili, and thousands of vitamins! DUPONT had a surprise luncheon for him on Monday and reception for him on Tuesday that we were fortunate enough to be able to attend! It was so nice!!! Congratulations Dad! We love you and are so proud of you!

Welcome to our Blog!

Well, I finally entered the crazy world of Facebook, so I’ve now been inspired to start a blog! We just thought we’d keep our friends and family up-to-date on our crazy life! The first thing I realized when I joined FB is that we need a family picture! Sadly, the only decent picture we have of the whole family is the one in our Longhorn gear. O.k., we are a little obsessed (Brian and Wes mainly), but we aren’t that crazy (maybe a little)! Really, though, we do need a family picture! Just another thing to add to my to-do list!

So where do I start?? With our kids, Blaike and Wesley, of course! Blaike will be 5 in April! Yes, 5! Can you believe that?! I can’t! She loves gymnastics, dance, school, and her babies! Wes is 2 ½, and what can I say… Wes is just a mess! Wes loves his guitar, scooter, football and anything Longhorn (daddy has totally brainwashed our children)!!!! He wants to wear his Longhorn jersey EVERYDAY and look just like daddy!!! Blaike and Wes are both so wonderful and amazing! They totally crack us up everyday, and we are so blessed to have them!

Brian is still working for the City of Houston as a Managing Engineer! He has a great job and loves it! I still work for Sanofi-Aventis as a Regional Medical Liaison. I work in the Metabolism area. I currently cover the southern half of Texas and Louisiana (hopefully that will be changing soon), but I really couldn’t ask for a better job! We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends in our lives!

That's it for now! Stay tuned for regular updates (and bear with me because I'm new to this whole blog thing)! :)
